The view from Africa’s highest bridge captures all the majesty and tranquility of the Bloukrans River valley. But there is nothing tranquil about throwing yourself more than 200 metres down towards the river below. Recognised as the ‘highest bungee from a bridge’ in the world, Bloukrans Bungy uses pendulum bungee technology to ensure the smoothest, most comfortable bungee jump possible. Jumpers are secured in a full-body harness combined with an ankle connection

The experience was amazing from the moments of my arrival to departure. I was assisted by Breyten, who, along with the entire team (from the front desk to the zip-line and bungy crews), was extremely warm, welcoming, and reassuring. "Professionalism" was a key takeaway from my experience with the staff/crew. The jump itself was incredible, though I wished it lasted longer (not a criticism of Bloukrans bungy, of course; gravity does what it does). The crew even had the foresight to capture video and photos on my phone, which I discovered later with great surprise and joy. I would highly recommend the experience, even to people with a fear of heights and slight vertigo, like myself. PS: A tip for the crew can be left at the shop. - Leon

My two kids (18 and 20) and I (56) REALLY enjoyed this unique experience at Bloukrans. The set-up was very nice, friendly and re-assuring. It was exhilarating, but never felt unsafe. Very good staff, cool atmosphere and fantastic scenery. Might even do it again, if I ever had the chance! - Gert-Jan
The entire experience was brilliant. The people managing the registration and the safety protocols were friendly and knowledgeable. They were also very willing to assist. From the moment you get to the zipline to the point where you are kitted out for the jump itself, the people were patient and willing to answer questions from a VERY nervous client/jumper (me). All in all, it made me proud to be South African knowing that this world class jump (highest bridge-based bungy in the world) is right here on our doorstep and that so many capable young people oversee all aspects of the service. - Yeoshaan
